iPhones In India

 iPhones In India

Apple Co. has started manufacturing their new line of iPhones in India. The state chosen by them to do so is Chennai. It’s really a great opportunity for India to grow the Apple marker reach in India as well as provide affordable prices to the Indian customers. Apple’s make-in-India push is set to get a shot in the arm as it has been reported that the new iPhone SE could be assembled in India. According to a report by The Information, Apple has informed one of supplier in China to begin shipping components for the latest iPhone SE to India. Apple’s manufacturing partners will get the components to assemble the new iPhone in India. What it will do is that it will help the Cupertino-based tech giant to avoid high import taxes it has to pay. It could also make the iPhone SE — which starts at Rs. 42,990 — cheaper for buyers in India.

With Dubai as a country providing apple products at a  much cheaper rate than India, masses would eventually end up travelling all the way to Dubai for buying iPhones and other apple products or would order it from there through e-commerce middlemen. but the shipping charges and other customs related fares add up to costing more than the original MRP of the products. But people still think that it is beneficial for them, yet they end up spending more money. As a matter of fact, the newer models such as iPhone 11, 11 pro, Se 2020, XR etc. are the only phones which have a lesser price compared to other countries. So if anyone goes to buy an iPhone that had already been introduced 2-3 years back, cost the same as India. China, USA and Europe are part of Dubai’s contribution too.

Another interesting fact is that iPhones that are made for the customers of UAE have a physical dual SIM support rather than a single SIM and an e-SIM. So customers get the pleasure to operate 2 networks at the same time easily rather than all the scanning process that is involved in an e-SIM.

Interestingly, the older iPhone SE launched in 2015 was made in India and was one of the most affordable iPhones to be made. If the assembly of iPhone SE 2020 happens in India, then customers have to pay slightly less than it was originally launched at.

The range of apple products that are available to us are pretty much on the expensive side, but people still prefer to stick to the Apple eco-system due to the standard and authenticity in its appeal and appearance to the masses. We see that a person who has an iPhone prefers to wear an Apple watch, use the Airpods/airpods pro as their daily hearing device, use a MacBook or the Macintosh interface as a whole for their laptop preference or PC usage, Buy the iPad for their tablet preference, iTunes subscription rather than Spotify, JioSaavn or any other provider. Basically, a person using a apple product in their daily lives stick to Apple only and prefer to update accordingly. Likewise for any new iPhone launch or iPad or MacBook. Also, after witnessing the Apple WWDC 2020(World-wide developer conference) we can deduce that the new iOS 14 or its beta version will have features that will make the entire user interface more creative and appealing to the users. Though the Android OSs’ have more customization than iOS, apple promises the users will have an entirely different experience using their iPhones.

We can now expect Apple products at an affordable rate in accordance to its new project in India and we can hope to see a brighter side of Apple usage in India, where customers don’t go home unsatisfied.
